Central Tyre Inflation

Tyre inflation to me is an essential part of our setup. We have observed how our maintenance schedule has improved with items like spring eyes not having to be replaced for a considerable length of time.

Central Tyre Inflation or CTI acts as shock absorbers as well, being able to reduce the pressures from 55 PSI down to 40 PSI and down even as far as 20 PSI can reduce massively the wear and tear on machinery. While not a cheap commodity, the benefits of having CTI are noticeable. With lowering pressures, like 4WD’S on sand will give you better traction, so in muddy and soft terrain our spreaders are able to go further without sinking quite as much. CTI wont prevent you from getting bogged but reduces the chance significantly. Having CTI fitted also ensures better tyre wear with the PSI on the road being stabilised at its set pressures. I have noticed our agricultural tyres wear a lot more even. They come highly recommended.
