Side Tipper Trailers

Our Southern Spreader Side Tippers are probably one of the most important assets we have.

They make everything more efficient, cost effective, productive and beneficial for both us and the customer. If Side Tippers weren’t available, the cost of cartages to and from depots to farm would be astronomical.

For example, if we were to spread 30 t of a product and didn’t have side tippers and the cartage rate was $100 per load, we would need to do 7 trips to the property from the depot as our 4X4 trucks legally can take 4.5 t of product. That is $700 in cartage, with the side tipper we can narrow that down to probably 3 trips and reduce the cost up to $200 for the customer. It also keeps us spreading for longer on the property which is very economical for us, the less time on the highway, the more time on the farm. It also means we can carry 2 different blends of fertiliser as well. A very beneficial item of machinery.
